Charlotte Four Months

Charlotte's four month doctor's appointment went well. She is doing great! She gets to start rice cereal next month. Her only problem was dry skin. The doc said she should be sleeping through the night by now. At this point she usually goes to bed at 8p.m. and wakes up around 4a.m. for a feeding, then sleeps until around 7a.m. Her stats are: Height 25 1/4"; Weight 15lbs, 15oz; Head 43cm.

Milk Man

From April

Jack is a very helpful young man. When Charlotte was crying the other day, he figured he would help out and obtain some milk for her. It works when Mom does it, right? He went into the pantry and found some formula and ran it back over to her. There are obviously some details that he neglected to consider, but then again, he does also have his flashlight in hand. I think the look on both their faces is priceless - Jack is happy with his job well done, and Charlotte is just confused.

Misters Fixed!

Rich and Jack spent the day (and night) yesterday repairing, then totally replacing, our patio misters. It was a long project but now we will be coooool all summer! Thanks, guys! (As far as I can tell, misters are an Arizona thing. I thought it was a little over the top until the first day it hit 110 degrees, then I understood.)

Misunderstanding

You can imagine how mad I was when I found a receipt in Rich's pants pocket for "Affiliated Chest." Turns out it was from the pulmonologist appointment he had last week.

Parsley is much easier to clean up

This will be a piece of cake compared to the giant tin of hot chocolate mix Jack dumped all over our house last week! The one that kept spreading everywhere the more we walked on it, leaving little chocolate footprints and hand prints on every surface. The one that I could not even vacuum up because the vacuum left giant clouds of chocolate dust all over the furniture. I was almost happy with him for ONLY dumping out an entire container of parsley. So that's his secret...brainwashing...

Lights Out

Jack at bedtime tonight when I turned off his light: "Turn the dark off, Daddy!!"

George Washington-Uhl

Jack took a dollar bill out of my wallet today, studied the front, and after a few seconds said, "Daddy has funny hair!"

First Two Teeth!

Charlotte got her first two teeth, bottom middle, last week. She is 3 months old. Jack got his teeth at the same age so I had a feeling this was coming. She loves to show them off!

Grandma

Grandma Barbara visited us last week. Despite all three adults getting sick, we had a wonderful time. You know you love someone when you can still have fun even when you are both sick. We are planning a trip out to Virginia for early summer. Stay posted for details!
