The Uhls go to Legoland

Our first vacation since Lucas was born was a spontaneous trip to Legoland, CA during Jack's spring break. Rich came home on Monday and told me that he was offered 6 free tickets that would expire by the end of March. By Tuesday night the hotel was booked and the packing was done, and when the kids woke up on Wednesday we surprised them with the news that we were on our way to Legoland!

After a breakfast in the hotel and a quick stop at the ocean, we were at the park bright and early on Thursday morning. Jack had been studying his Legoland map for hours and knew exactly where he wanted to go first.

The was an entire area of the park dedicated to Jack's favorite thing, Star Wars Lego. After the kids took their time looking at the amazing creations, we got in line for their first ever roller coaster.

Yia Yia met us at the park and even went on some rides!

After an exciting day, we had dinner and went back to the hotel for bed. Everyone slept great that night. In the morning we loaded up the car and headed home! I think our first vacation as a family of 5 was a big success.
