This is a VHS Video Cassette (ca. 1976 - 2005). You may remember them. We used something called a Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) with them to record movies and other media. After we recorded something onto them, we could watch them later - on the same VCR. When we were done, we would rewind them.

We received a Little People (little as in toy-sized, not short of stature) farm play set from some friends for Jack. Inside was a video tape of the Little People show. I didn't even know there was a Little People show, but whatever. The point is that we don't have a VCR. And Jack has never seen a VHS tape in his life. He definitely knows about DVDs, whenever he sees one he thinks its one of his "veeyos" (videos).

So he sees the box with the tape in it, and immediately starts trying to get me and Suzanne to open it for him. We didn't want to tell him its a video, or he would want to watch it, and we can't. So we told him its a box. Now, for the last few days, he's been trying to open it and get whatever it is that's inside. Sad situation, for sure. I expect to come home someday soon and see 160 minutes (in LP mode) worth of tape strewn all over the house.
